Roblox Announces Sunset of Guilded Platform & Integration with Groups

Roblox, a popular online platform, has recently declared that they will be phasing out and ultimately closing down Guilded, a service they had previously acquired. This move by Roblox comes as a result of successfully implementing many of Guilded’s functionalities into their existing community feature, formerly known as Groups.

On August 16, 2021, Roblox successfully acquired Guilded and took ownership of the platform. In an official statement, Roblox announced that Guilded will remain as an independent product group within the company. Fast forward to July 15, 2024, when Guilded made it mandatory for all users to create and link a Roblox account to their Guilded profile.
